My old Epson Stylus Color 670 died a while back, sounding like an old car turning over but not starting. So, after doing some net-based research and deciding against the better-rated multi-functions selling for (at time of review) ~$499 I decided to go for the Epson CX3500 for under $200.
As I walked into Hardly Normal I could barely believe my eyes – there was the HP 2610 on sale for $299 (current retail is now $399). Imagine my further delight when I got it home and unpacked and there was an ethernet port – ah blissful seamless cross-platform printing, copying, scanning and faxing (yep, drop the maxiumum speed to medium and my VOIP line handles incoming and outgoing faxes beautifully).
